Would you still want, or be able, to make it?

What would have been your reaction to having your oxygen turned on all the way and then burned up? Would it have affected your ambitions to reach the top?

In a situation like Jon’s I would have been extremely worried and frustrated. I would not only be worried about my body medically, but also about my ability to reach the top. Although physically I would probably not be able to reach the top, I would still try in any way possible.

I think in Jon’s position I would be very worried about my medical health. Since he had allready been having trouble with the high alltitude, the lack of supporting oxygen will just make it worse. If I were him, I would be too worried about my health and I would return to Camp 4 and get more oxygen then later I would try agian to reach the summit

If my oxygen was turned on full blast and I ran out of oxygen I would be very nervous about climbing on with out oxygen. It would depend on if I had previously climbed Everest with out oxygen. But if I had not previously climbed with out oxygen I would return to camp four where I could get more oxygen. I would not go all the way to base camp though. I would be determined to try to make it to the top the next day. If I had previously climbed Everest with out oxygen I most likely would continue because I have successfully done it before.
