Why was it hard?

Why do you think it was hard for Jon Krakauer to write about his experience on Mt. Everest for Outside Magazine?

I think that it was hard for Jon to publish his story on the Outsider Magazine because he had a limited amount of words and he thought that I was not right to give a story of that importance a specific amount of words. I think that is the reason that Jon made this book. It was so he could tell his story without a limit on the amount of words he had to use.

I think it was hard for Jon to publish what he experienced on Mount Everest because there had been many hardships up on the mountain that he may not ever want to think about. I also think this because he may not be able to discuss the relationships with all the people on the expedition and include what was really being said by everyone else and the respect he Jon had for certain others. In addition, I think that Jon Krakauer had a hard time publishing what he experienced because I imagine that it would be hard to write about something so extraordinary, climbing Mount Everest, it seems like you have to experience it to understand what Jon wrote.

I think Jon had difficult time writing about his experience because he felt guilty. He was feeling guilty about the fact he left Andy Harris. He left Andy Harris with hypoxia. I wonder why he didn’t get him a full tank of oxygen, instead of saying “Whatever Andy,” and leaving. He could have saved his life, but no he left him there with impaired judgment. He also could have helped his teammates search for the lost people. But he was too tired. I think he was guilty of making bad decisions and that led to people’s injuries and death. And the guilt made it hard to write about.
